Apollo are delighted that the recently opened Fort William Health Centre has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Primary Care Design’ and the ‘Best Project Team’ categories of the prestigious BBH Awards 2008. The only Scottish scheme shortlisted in both categories with 5 and 3 other finalists respectively, the Centre was selected from a record number of 141 high calibre entrants into this UK wide, annual competition that is now in its 10th year. The awards are presented to reward excellence, innovation and professionalism in the healthcare built environment and getting to this stage highlights and recognises the emphasis that Apollo places on design, quality, teamwork and personal service. Apollo are not newcomers to this award having been awarded the Best Designed Primary Care Facility for the Apollo Centre for Health in Eastbourne in 2003. (see link below)
Winners will be announced in mid November at an awards ceremony in London following the final stage of judging by a panel of experts at a site visit and a ‘Dragons’ Den’ style Product Pitching Day which will take place in the next few weeks. Watch this website for the announcement of the winners and for additional information on the entrants link to http://www.bbhealthcare.co.uk/.
Our photos show the successful Project Team taken at the beginning of the construction phase together with the final product, with Ben Nevis rising majestically in the background, together with examples of the highly acclaimed works of art that are displayed throughout the centre which have all contributed to these well deserved nominations.
