John Dryburgh BSc ICIOB - Managing Director

John Dryburgh is an Incorporated Member of the Chartered Institute of Building. He has over 20 years experience working in the UK Construction and Property sector.

Following Graduation as the best student on his Building Technology and Management Course, John spent the early part of his career working at senior levels in the family business.

In April 2000, John joined Primary Medical Property as Scottish General Manager. Since then with Apollo he has completed projects with a value of £30m throughout Scotland, including the first 3PD scheme in Greater Glasgow, and the only biomass fuelled Primary Care Centre completed in the UK.

In 2005, John was appointed Managing Director of the UK Capital Projects business, bringing his design and quality led integrated development and procurement methodologies to the wider business. He opened the latest Regional Office in Wales in 2006.

John lives in Glasgow, and is married. He enjoys sailing and fly fishing on the west coast of Scotland, accompanied by his Lucas Terrier, Jessie.

Campbell Halliday BSc(Hons) B Arch MSc PGDip RIBA ARIAS - Technical Projects Manager

Campbell is a Chartered Architect with experience of working in Europe and the UK. He has predominantly worked in private practice, with an intervention of 4½ years within Local Government, as a Senior Architect and latterly as a Team Leader of a multi-disciplined group.

His pragmatic approach to translating an idea into reality resulted in his employment with Apollo Capital Projects, to benefit from his understanding of building Healthcare Premises and skill to resolve anticipated challenges. As "poacher turned gamekeeper", Campbell's knowledge of large scale healthcare projects has proven invaluable, with an appreciation of commercial viability balanced with design quality. Regardless of project size and budget he believes that there is the opportunity to produce buildings of 'beauty' within their own constraints.

Being self-motivated, he has devoted considerable personal time and expense to increase his knowledge base. In addition to architectural qualifications, he has a collection of HNC Modules on various topics; an HNC and two Post Graduate Degrees in Computing, accompanied with 'Merit' or 'Distinction'; and, achieved Member Level within the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Campbell is married with 3 young children and enjoys activities with his family. He also enjoys the opportunity to learn, travel and sample new experiences; and, is currently on Consultative Committees for the RIAS (Contracts and Appointments) and SBCC.

Jean Cowan

Jean is Personal Assistant to John Dryburgh, the Managing Director for Apollo Capital Projects, and joined the company in June 2002. Jean is involved in supporting the Managing Director and maintaining the efficient running of the Glasgow office. She also liaises extensively with members of staff in the other regional offices and with external organisations.

Earlier in her career, Jean worked within legal organisations which provided experience in conveyancing, executry, civil and criminal law. Through in-house training, she progressed to become Personal Assistant to Partners within a Criminal Department of a major Solicitor's firm. She later progressed her career within a planning company to become Personal Assistant/Office Manager gaining experience in property development and planning procedures.

Jean has a keen interest in psychology and has acquired a certificate in counselling skills. Her other interests are in mountaineering and, having achieved her goal in climbing all the munros in Scotland (284 peaks over 3000 feet), she now has her eye on climbing some of the more adventurous mountains in Europe and the rest of the world. Not having a good head for heights, she admits she's a real glutton for punishment!
