The 2-storey building provides a focused Primary Care facility for all the town's NHS services, creating an efficient integrated working environment with improved access for patients.
Another was the implementation of a paper-light record storage system which has freed up an extra 50% of the site giving flexibility for future expansion.
Dr George Ellis from the Skene Healthcare Centre said:
"We have been struck by the obvious pride the team from Apollo have in their work and this has extended beyond the delivery of state of the art premises. There is no doubt that the high quality of the building and its impressive finishes, which give us such pleasure, is entirely down to Apollo's philosophy of delivering the very best quality possible".
The building's striking "civic" design creates a sense of identity. Internally, efficiency was key and shared accommodation was one way of realising this. The building is multi-use, and user, and is operated and managed using the Apollo House Committee approach of regular user and management meetings.
