Clive Eminson BSc FRICS - Chairman

Clive is a Chartered Surveyor with 15 years experience in private practice with Vigers, Sweby Cowan and Debenham Tewson Chinnocks, working in London and abroad, and specialising in property investment and commercial property development.

In 1990 Clive joined the District Valuer's Office in East Anglia where, as a Regional Asset Valuer, he worked on the co-ordination of NHS Estates Asset Valuations, as well as rental valuations for GP surgeries under the rent reimbursement system.

He was a founder shareholder of Primary Medical Property in 1994, a specialist primary care property development and investment company, and formed the Apollo Medical Group in 2000. Clive has spent more than half his working life within the Primary Care premises sector.

Clive is a past committee member of the Primary Care Premises Forum and has over his career made a number of contributions to published articles and been a reluctant speaker at seminars and conferences.

Married with three children, Clive is a keen sailor and is Chairman and trustee of Levington Village Hall.

Mike Parker FCA - Finance Director

Mike is a Chartered Accountant who has worked in the healthcare property sector for five years. Before that he spent 15 years in the International shipping business where, based at Felixstowe, he had extensive experience of corporate management, stevedoring, road/rail transport, warehousing, logistics and property management. During his time as Head of Finance for the Port of Felixstowe Limited, he was closely involved in the consolidation by the Hutchinson Whampoa group of the UK container ports industry involving major acquisitions and subsequent restructuring of target businesses which included a £350 million refinancing through a loan note issue.

Mike trained with Coopers & Lybrand and worked in their Johannesburg office for two years.

Mike is married with three children and enjoys sailing, skiing and tennis. He is a committee member of the Dedham Vale Society, an environmental lobby group, and in 2006 qualified as a Yacht master Offshore.

Gerry Oakley - Director, Apollo Centres for Health

Since leaving the RAF, Gerry has gained 25 years experience of medical service disciplines with a number of leading healthcare and medical equipment suppliers in the conceptual, consumable and capital sales markets in providing solutions to application problems in primary care, health and wellbeing, sport, fitness and senior's medicine. For a number of years, he was the clinical applications and training director working with an American Musculoskeletal Assessment company spending much of his time in Korea, Malaysia and Japan. Gerry's extensive knowledge of primary care delivery and GP practice activity has been focussed on the Apollo Centres for Health concept where the active management of operational space is critical to the success of both the building and the clinical delivery operation in its ability to react to service demands.

Working with NHS directors, consultants, GPs and healthcare professionals to find solutions in providing clinical efficient pathways to meet targets and demand is balanced against his passion for sailing and family life with his wife and two daughters.

 

 

David Dawson LLB MSc MIHM - Director, Apollo Centres for Health

David is a specialist in services and organisational development and the management of change who has worked in the health and social care sector as a Health Authority member, Director and Consultant since 1980 from a background in human resources in Unilever and Shell.

He has worked with Primary Medical Property and Apollo since 1995 assisting GPs and NHS organisations with developing service strategies and business cases.

In 2000, he gained a second MSc from L.S.E. where his special subject was Healthy Living Centres. He is Trustee Director of Workwise (Suffolk) which provides employment and training services in adult mental health and he chairs 4th Angle, a Community Interest Company, established by the County Council, to promote social enterprises.

David is married with two children and a granddaughter and sings with the Bury St Edmunds Community Choir.

Stuart Clarke - Assistant Development Manager

Stuart is currently studying part-time for a BSc Honours Degree in Real Estate Management at Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford, sponsored by the company. Stuart is aiming to become professionally qualified with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

In terms of Stuart's previous work experience, he worked within the Construction Industry for 6 years specialising in quality assurance management (ISO 9001), contract management and health and safety management. Working with sub-contract firms, Stuart has worked for construction giants such as John Laing, Bovis, Mowlem and Carillion. Through his involvement with Carillion (formerly Tarmac), Stuart worked on the construction of the Dartford and Gravesham Hospital which was the first PFI hospital to be constructed in the UK.

Stuart joined Apollo in 2001 where he now assists in both the management of Apollo's own property portfolio. Through having day to day contact with healthcare professionals, Stuart has gained valuable experience in the primary healthcare industry and we hope this will be built upon further through involvement in 3PD.

Linda Billinge

Linda joined Apollo in September 2004. Her early career encompassed banking, insurance and financial services and after qualifying as an adult teacher whilst raising a young family Linda moved into teaching IT to adults with learning difficulties, deaf adults and adult evening classes before moving into Human Resource management and recruitment with a software company.

Linda is now supporting Apollo Capital Projects and the Apollo Centres for Health projects as well as general office management, HR and IT.

Married with 5 children and 4 grandchildren there is limited spare time for hobbies but Linda enjoys a game of tennis, interior decorating and as a qualified scuba diver, has a passion for the turquoise azure waters of the Indian Ocean but will not plunge into the murky depths of UK waters!
