Richard Drew BSc MRICS - Development Director

Richard is an experienced development surveyor with over 20 years involvement within all sectors of the property market.  He joined Apollo in 2003 and set up the Northern office based near Leeds.

Richard's career started in private practice having graduated from Reading University, then joining Crest Nicholson Properties in London.  Throughout the 1990's he worked for Safeway plc as their Development Director responsible for both the retail strategy and development programme for new retail food stores and extensions to the existing retail portfolio.  Richard developed over 65 food stores across the country in both town centre and out of town locations.  In the year 2000, Richard moved to the north and joined Thornfield Properties, a town centre regeneration specialist,  becoming involved with mixed use retail led projects.

At Apollo, Richard became a Director of the business in 2005. He has wide experience of delivering primary care projects in both the NHS LIFT environment and latterly concentrating on the 3PD traditional procurement route.  He drove the development programmes for two LIFT companies in Barnsley and Doncaster  and was responsible for 12 Primary Care Centres ranging in size from 700m2 to 3,000m2.  More recently he has completed schemes in Hull, Leeds and Shipley and has three projects under construction with an active pipeline of future schemes across the region.

Richard lives with his wife and three teenage children in Harrogate and enjoys spending any free time either on the golf course, walking or listening to music.
