Mike is a Chartered Accountant who has worked in the healthcare property sector for 8 years. Before that he spent 15 years in the International shipping business where, based at Felixstowe, he had extensive experience of corporate management, stevedoring, road/rail transport, warehousing, logistics and property management. During his time as Head of Finance for the Port of Felixstowe Limited, he was closely involved in the consolidation by the Hutchinson Whampoa group of the UK container ports industry involving major acquisitions and subsequent restructuring of target businesses which included a £350 million refinancing through a loan note issue.
Mike trained with Coopers & Lybrand and worked in their Johannesburg office for two years.
Mike is married with three children and enjoys sailing, skiing and tennis. He is a committee member of the Dedham Vale Society, an environmental lobby group, and in 2006 qualified as a Yacht master Offshore.
