Rob has over 20 years experience in the construction industry with the last 11 years in Primary Care and development. Rob initially worked for PCTs on estate strategies and then with GPs, advising on development options and guiding them through 3PD schemes.
Rob joined Apollo in 2007 as Procurement Director and since that time has led design and development teams to deliver schemes in England and Wales. He has worked on over 30 Primary Care developments throughout the UK. Rob heads up the Apollo Procurement Team which includes architects, engineers and building managers to ensure a professional service is delivered to Apollo's customers.
Rob worked for a local authority for 10 years where he gained an honours degree in Building Surveying (BSc Hons) and became Chartered as a Project Manager. He then joined Capita where he reached Associate Director level and then onto B3 Architects as a Director. Rob is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) and a Fellow of the Forum of the Built Environment.
Having an understanding of both the GP and developers' perspective allows Rob to provide a balanced approach to GP premises development. Rob's in depth understanding of the sector provides confidence and comfort to our GP development partners, Health Boards and other partner organisations.
When Rob is not working he enjoys spending time walking the south Wales coast and mountains with his wife Clare, three daughters, Emily, Lucy and Nell, and the newest addition to the family, Archie the Jack Russell.
